Technical Sergeant Bean is the Officer Accessions
Instructor at Detachment 115, University of Connecticut,
Storrs, Connecticut. Sergeant Bean serves as the
detachment’s Enlisted Leader and enlisted advisor to the
detachment commander on cadet actions. Additionally, he
teaches the AS100 level course, instructing on the
fundamentals of Air Force history, operations, and
procedures.

Technical Sergeant Bean enlisted in the United States Air
Force in July of 2011 as an Aerospace Medical
Technician, before being specialized into Flight Medicine.
During his career Sergeant Bean has held certifications as
a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician as
well as a Licensed Practical Nurse. He has provided
medical care and operational support to C-17, KC-135, F16, HH-60, U-28 and C-130 Pilots and Aircrew across the globe. He most recently supported the 25th Intelligence
Squadron as the embedded Flight Medic at Hurlburt Field,
Florida.
