Welcome!
The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) prepares cadets to become officers in the Air Force and Space Force while they simultaneously earn their degrees in civilian four year college programs. AFROTC training focuses on developing the leadership skills and physical fitness necessary to serve as an officer in the United States military.
About Us
We are dedicated to commissioning the best Second Lieutenants in the Air Force and Space Force. In 1952, Air University assumed the responsibility for the Air Force ROTC program that consisted of four-year programs at 188 academic institutions to include Detachment 115 at the University of Connecticut. Cadets graduating from Detachment 115 have gone on to become leaders and experts in all military fields. We are proud to be a part of this honored tradition that educates, trains, and commissions the nation’s best and brightest.
